Oxygen Type R Irons

The Oxygen Type-R iron is what you would call a game improvement blade style club. Designed for a more experienced player, the Oxygen Type-R Iron features a thin top line and blade profile for maximum workability that you are looking for in each and every iron. The black insert you see in the back of the club head is a polymer filled muscle back cavity which increases the perimeter weighting throughout the entire club face for improved forgiveness and feel.

The main difference between the two Oxygen models we offer (type R and S) is that the type R model is suited for a mid to low handicap player. Reason being is because the club is more like a blade type iron with smaller club face and the reduced offset makes it tougher for a new golfer to hit. If you are considered to be new to the game or with a higher handicap the Oxygen Type S Irons would probably be a better fit for you.

Customer Reviews of the Oxygen Type R Irons:

"I bought the two iron. Since I am a beginner(Less than 6 months) I thought in might be impossible for me two hit with a blade style iron, much less a two iron. This club is definatley less forgiving, but I can hit the ball way, way farther and straighter, more consistantly with this than with my Dunlop 3 iron. Maybe this club just suits my swing. I plan on buying the whole set of irons to replace my Dunlops, I only wish I could get them with Royal Precision Rifle shafts, just like on the set of Ping s59's that I looked at, but cannot afford. 700 dollars for a used set of clubs, ouch!" Mantequilla
"Got these clubs after playing the Acer Wide Soles the last two years and I can definitely tell the difference between beginner's clubs and professional's clubs. Although they are only effective if hit very well, the accuracy is uncanny. I shot an 84 my first time out and can't wait to improve on my ball striking. If you have played for a few years and are ready for a little greater challenge, then these are the clubs for you." Matt
"Just like to say these have to be the best blades I have ever hit. Great club control, I don't think I have missed the sweet spot once. I have dropped 5-6 strokes on average, since I have started to use these clubs, great clubs once again. " Ken
Great clubs. Definitely have to have good club control, especially with the long irons. These clubs do feel really sweet when you hit the sweet spot, very pure, and the distance is exceptional. However, any misses (which typically happens with the long irons) and your dead (no distance). All and all a great club, and relatively easy to hit for a blade/muscleback. P.S. Thanks Pinemeadow for all your help. Great customer service." CT
